Edward J. Kelly, Jr. President and CEO

Mr. Kelly founded SMP Consulting and the Working Partners Network. For over three decades SMP Consulting Group and its affiliates has engaged in the business of providing, insurance consulting services, risk management and loss control services along with marketing programs to businesses throughout the United States.

Through Ed?s leadership, SMP and the Working Partners Network have developed into a major provider of unique cost containment concepts for business and industry. Over the past twenty five years, Ed has developed relationships with a number of fortune 1,000 companies throughout the US and the UK. He began his business career as Vice President for Program Development with one of the largest Unemployment Insurance consulting firms, Reed, Roberts in Garden City, NY. His responsibilities included developing cost containment programs for Federated Department Stores, Burger King, Union Carbide and a number of other fortune 500 companies. During the Clinton administration, Ed worked in Washington as a lobbyist for the healthcare giants Hospital Corporation of America, Humana and Universal Healthcare. Mr. Kelly holds a BS degree from New York Institute of Technology in Engineering; and a MBA from New York University. In addition, to his responsibilities operating SMP, Ed serves on the board of directors of AMCOMP, an international organization dedicated to professional excellence in the field of workers compensation insurance. In 2011, he was appointed to the Suffolk County Economic Advisory Counsel. This counsel comprised of local business owners is charged with the responsibility of helping to develop a plan to create job and economic growth in Suffolk County, NY. Suffolk County is one of the largest counties in the United States with a population of over 1.5 million and an annual budget over 2.5 billion dollars. In 2012, Ed was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Committee for Cost Effective Government. Married for 44 years, Ed and wife Diane share their time living in both New York and Florida. They have two sons, Edward and Brian.

Greg Walker, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Walker?s background includes over twenty-years experience in banking and investing including The CIT Group, Wells Fargo and Silver Point Capital. His focuses on business planning, resource management and corporate direction. Mr. Walker is a New York member of the Association for Corporate Growth, a member and a past speaker at the Turnaround Management Association annual panel discussion, an invited guest at the American Bankruptcy Institute Conference discussion table, and various board memberships. He is a graduate of The Bernard Baruch College and resides on Long Island with his wife of twenty five years and two children.

Brian C. Kelly, Chief Marketing Officer, Executive Vice President of Sales

Brian co-founded SMP and the Working Partners Network and has been instrumental in its development and success for over two decades. His cost containment techniques and applications have saved clients millions of dollars during his leadership. In addition to his cost containment consulting responsibilities, Brian also focuses on SMP's Partner acquisition and Partner retention. Brian is an active and contributing member to The American Society of Workers' Comp. Professionals ("AMCOMP), a member of the Center for Cost Effective Government and holds a Property and Casualty license. Brian graduated Dowling College in 2002 with a Bachelor in Business Administration and resides on Long Island.

Gary Sandford, Director of Audit

Mr. Sandford was the former Chief Auditor and Vice President of Administration and Finance of the New York State Compensation Insurance Rating Board (NYCIRB), where he ran a one hundred and tweny person auditing department. His understanding of complex regulation, payroll and modification codes will provide our clients greater visibility into their workers compensation premiums. During his 34-year career at NYCIRB, Mr. Sandford rose to become Chief Auditor with NYCIRB. All workers compensation insurers must provide workers compensation statistics to the NYCIRB, which compiles and evaluates data and proposes rate changes that are subject to approval.

Mitchell Ostrover, Director of Business Development

Mitch is a graduate of New York University School of Business and Public Administration [now known as NYU Stern School of Business] with a B.S. in Marketing. Since then, he has worked in the textile industry, for a Federally Chartered Bank working on mortgages and with AFLAC. During his business career, he has traveled to over 30 countries and almost all 50 states. He is an avid skier and bicycle rider, has three daughters and a wife of over 30 years.
